Fair Information The fair first began under the leadership of former president Frank Lerew and continues under current president Richard Wyrick. Over the years our fair has experienced tremendous growth, something that has forced us to continue expanding. You can read more about the history of our event on the History page. Our event is organized by the members of the Shippensburg Community Fair Board of Directors, a committed group of individuals who manage the fair, as well as any improvements or changes made to the event. The Board of Directors meets at least once per month to discuss the improvements and procedures for the upcoming year. Fair Committees are also quite influential in the execution of the fair, as our volunteers are always available to lend a hand. Our fair is always held the last full week of July, Monday through Saturday. Fair activities begin each evening, however, activities are held all day on Wednesday and Saturday. We are currently planning our 56th annual fair,
scheduled for July 22 to 27, 2013. Mission Statement "To educate
